Job Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of duties, encompassing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Your responsibilities will include conducting both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as emergency repairs when necessary. Additionally, you will be responsible for regular preventive maintenance, ensuring all supporting documentation for these procedures is well-maintained.
Job Duties:
- Execute maintenance tasks according to your skill level, adhering strictly to safety policies and procedures.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform the required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and conduct tests and adjustments as needed.
- Identify and report any faulty operations or defective materials to the facility maintenance manager.
- Utilize Microsoft Office to order and schedule parts and jobs efficiently.
- Perform all work in a safe manner, strictly following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) at all times.
- Fulfill any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of or working toward a 2-year trades degree and/or at least 4 years of experience in plant maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; bilingual capabilities are a plus.
- Capable of effectively communicating with the Sanitation Manager, line workers, Leads, Supervisors, and Plant Manager and following their directions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in legible record-keeping and data entry.
- Highly motivated, flexible, and skilled in creative problem-solving.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication.
- A comprehensive understanding of 3 Phase electrical and three-phase motor controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot AC & DC drives.
