Title: Maintenance Technician - Team Line Lead
Location: Cicero, IL
Shift: 2nd Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm &  3rd shifts: 10pm - 6:30am     
Pay Rate:$39.55/hr plus a $2 premium (union)

Job Description:
As the Maintenance Technician - Team Line Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the repairs, maintenance, and optimization of machinery and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This includes pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, and various production machines. You will also guide and lead a team of technical operators, ensuring smooth operations while continuously striving for process improvement and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment including pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Test equipment using hand and power tools, as well as precision-measuring instruments to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and service minor electrical equipment as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction, downtime analysis, and overall process improvements.
  • Adhere to strict safety guidelines while performing all job functions and duties.
  • Guide and lead a team of technical operators, providing direction and ensuring effective teamwork in achieving departmental goals.
What You’ll Need To Succeed:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and completion of formal apprenticeship or equivalent training (REQUIRED).
  • 3+ years of experience in a maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of machinery, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to work efficiently and safely.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with precision-measuring instruments and the ability to handle tools and equipment safely.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
