Title: Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift
Hours: 6am to 2:30pm. Monday through Friday
Location: Romeoville, IL
Pay Rate:$28-$36p/hour DOE

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team in Romeoville, IL. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. The successful candidate will ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes in compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and food manufacturing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment.
- Follow and enforce GMP, HACCP, Allergen, and Food Defense programs.
- Accurately complete all documentation and maintenance logs.
- Respond to maintenance calls via radio promptly; prioritize tasks based on supervisor guidance.
- Assist with equipment setup, operation, shutdown, and disassembly.
- Contribute to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Keep machinery, work areas, and facility grounds clean and safe.
- Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and use proper PPE.
- Support shift hand-off procedures and maintain consistent communication with other technicians and supervisors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or volunteered for.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills
- Basic troubleshooting skills for production and packing equipment
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs
- Ability to operate shop equipment (e.g., mill, brake, press)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Experience in 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and structured problem-solving preferred
