Job Summary:
  • This role is responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment. The technician will follow safety protocols, predictive maintenance strategies, and operational procedures to ensure equipment reliability and workplace safety.

Job Duties:
  • Ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of all products and manufacturing processes.
  • Verify the safe operation of equipment and ensure proper machine guarding is in place.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, facilities, and equipment.
  • Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  • Work effectively across all shifts and departments.
  • Assist with setup, startup, operation, shutdown, and disassembly of equipment.
  • Contribute to writing operational parameters and procedures.
  • Participate in shift hand-off meetings with incoming and outgoing technicians.
  • Spend the majority of the shift on the production floor, focusing on preventive maintenance, equipment monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other assigned or volunteered duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Create notifications and input time on work orders using a CMMS.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and use required safety devices at all times.
  • Possess entry-level mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills.
  • Demonstrate fundamental troubleshooting skills for processing and packaging equipment.
  • Have a basic understanding of PLC, VFD, and HMI operations.
  • Operate basic shop equipment such as mills, brakes, and presses.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production and staffing requirements.
