Title: Maintenance Technician II - 2nd shift
Location: Brockton, MA
Pay Rate: $27-$34/hr DOE

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician II to join our Maintenance team in Romeoville, IL. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. The ideal candidate will support safety, quality, and productivity goals through proactive maintenance and timely repair of equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Maintain safety standards and ensure machine guarding is always in place.
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation and follow all GMP and Food Safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks as directed.
- Participate in daily shift handoff discussions and maintain strong communication with incoming/outgoing technicians.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime and product quality.
- Conduct equipment setup, operation, and disassembly as needed.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized, following 5S and Lean principles.
- Use CMMS for work order management and time tracking.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts and support facility upgrades and new installations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- General maintenance experience with basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and ability to input work orders and time.
- Entry-level troubleshooting skills in PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.
- Must follow all safety protocols, use PPE properly, and report unsafe conditions.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent standing and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing disciplines.
- Experience working in the food manufacturing industry.
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving processes.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Work near moving mechanical parts in varied temperatures, including cold or humid environments.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Noise levels can range from moderate to loud.
- Work may occasionally require outdoor exposure and handling of cleaning chemicals or airborne particles.
Food Safety & Quality Expectations
- Report any concerns related to food safety, quality, or equipment performance to supervision.
- Adhere to company standards including GMP, Allergen, HACCP, and Food Defense policies.
