Maintenance Supervisor
Location: South Holland, IL
Shift & Hours: 2nd Shift  3pm – 12:30am or 1:30am during OT weeks.       
Pay Rate: $80K-$90K

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing all maintenance duties in an accurate, thorough, and safe manner while adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). You will take an active leadership role in directing and guiding the maintenance team to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team, ensuring effective and safe operations.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of equipment and systems within the facility, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance of equipment such as conveyors, pumps, drives, HVAC systems, boilers, compressors, and fire & sprinkler systems.
  • Lead the calibration of sensitive instrumentation and systems.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed in adherence to GMP standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, offering training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports related to maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with other departmental supervisors to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space, and other relevant safety practices.
  • Ensure all work is done in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving for operational issues, providing innovative solutions.
  • Work closely with management to assess maintenance needs, manage priorities, and optimize maintenance schedules.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Ability to legally work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • At least four years of experience in the mechanical or electrical trades preferred.
  • Completion of a recognized vocational training program in the mechanical or electrical trades may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

 knowledge and experience:
  • Electrical: 3-Phase Power, Electrical Code, Print Reading, Drives.
  • Electronics: Digital/Analog Understanding, Board/Component Level Repair.
  • PLC: Siemens, Allen Bradley, Ladder Logic Programming, Various Platforms.
  • Instrumentation: Calibration of Sensitive Equipment.
  • Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Print Reading, Equipment Rebuilds.
  • Mechanical: Print Reading, Drives (Chain/Belt), Pumps, Conveyors, etc.
  • Welding: MIG, TIG, Stick.
  • Cutting: Torch, Plasma Cutter, Die Grinder.
  • Brazing: Silver Solder, Brass.
  • Plumbing: General Layout, Print Reading, Sweating Pipe.
  • Basic & Industrial Skills
  • Safety: Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space.
  • HVAC: Ammonia & Freon Systems, Glycol Chillers, Rooftop Units.
  • Combustion Systems: Furnaces, Ovens, Heaters.
  • Boilers: High Pressure and Low Pressure.
  • Compressors: General Knowledge and Operation.
  • Fire & Sprinkler Systems: Print Reading, Basic Operation.
  • General Building Maintenance: Print Reading, General Layout, Roofing, Lighting, etc.
