Job Summary:
- The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all maintenance department tasks, including scheduled and unscheduled work. They ensure efficient resource deployment, maintain records, and foster a customer-centric approach, collaborating closely with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.
Job Duties:
- Generate and manage Maintenance shift schedule based on production schedules, inspections, and available resources
- Handle and supervise contractor work
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, rebuilds, and inspections
- Train and mentor direct reports, fostering their development and optimizing performance
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance assessment and analysis
- Perform root cause analysis of machine downtime and conduct PM and work order audits
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, safety standards, and plant maintenance procedures
- Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies to enhance plant performance
- Develop and enforce maintenance and safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- 4 years of maintenance supervisory experience
- Knowledge of equipment functions, operating procedures, and maintenance techniques
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred
- Ability to interpret instructions, manuals, drawings, and specifications
- Experience in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant
