Maintenance Mold Shop
Job Description
- Adhere to all safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Be thoroughly familiar with hand tools and maintenance practices.
- Set up molds and adjust cycles to meet specifications.
- Understand various materials, their mixing processes, automatic color blenders, and cycles.
- Be able to explain why different materials require different processing cycles.
- Recognize and differentiate between various defects and dimensions.
- Have knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems in machinery.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor issues and make adjustments to bring machinery into specification.
- Capable of properly shutting down and starting up machinery.
- Train and assist other technicians in performing their tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support other job functions and complete tasks as assigned.
- Assist in training other maintenance, production, and personnel in areas of expertise.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Qualifications:
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Some post-secondary education preferred (i.e., technical, or vocational education).
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to recognize, interpret, and accurately input numbers and values into an online database. Strong mathematical skills are essential.
- Excellent hand/eye coordination for operating equipment.
- Capable of making quick, prioritized decisions and exercising independent judgment based on the situation.
- Proficient in using computers and relevant software effectively.
- Willingness to work all shifts and any required overtime.
