Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
- Operate the steam boilers and ancillary equipment per local and state standards.
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair steam boilers and ancillary equipment including compressors, generators and pumps.
- Provide coverage when a Stationary Engineer is needed at a facility.
- Perform preventive maintenance on the steam boiler and ancillary equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment and systems, including pneumatic and plumbing problems related to boilers.
- Organize and maintain equipment, department spare parts inventory and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; requisition of parts; verifying receipt.
- Maintain daily logs, equipment documentation, PM documentation, work orders, pass downs and time sheet.
- Assist plant maintenance when required.
- Inspection, maintenance and repair of all boiler and related equipment to reduce waste and maintain efficiency.
- Perform other duties and jobs that may be assigned to them as required
- High School Diploma some college or certification preferred.
- 5+ years experience as maintenance mechanic for a large facility
- Attention to detail, flexibility, job knowledge, productivity.
- Must be a self-starter and posses strong mechanical
