Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
Location: Addison, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: 12 hr. Nights I 2/2/3 I 4:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Pay: $28-$30/hr.
- Perform maintenance and repair on molding, auxiliary, and plant support equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Read schematics and blueprints; troubleshoot PLCs, electrical, and hydraulic circuits.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM), document activities, and support line changeovers.
- Weld, fabricate, and machine parts as needed for repairs and installations.
- Assist with installations and modifications of equipment and building/facility repairs.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas while following all safety and quality policies.
- Support training of employees and act as a technical resource for troubleshooting.
- Interface with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely repairs and projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary technical/vocational training a plus.
- 7+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Competency in welding, fabrication, machining, and use of maintenance tools.
- Basic math, computer, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to train others.
- Must be motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with little supervision.
