Maintenance Mechanic- 1st Shift
Job Description
Location: Oak Brook, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: 27-30/hr.
- Perform changeovers, overhauls, and corrective repairs on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and document downtime and repairs.
- Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Replace and fabricate parts as needed.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and submit purchase requisitions.
- Support and train Production Mechanics Level 1 and 2.
- Follow GMP, OSHA, and safety standards and maintain good housekeeping.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Approximately 4 years of experience maintaining automated production equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs.
- Experience with packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, labelers, and case packers.
- Basic computer skills (Word/Excel, maintenance records).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and unit conversion skills.
