Maintenance Mechanic
2nd Shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm | Monday-Friday
Contract-To-Hire role
Up to $30/hr.

Our client, who is a well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that fabrication equipment operates efficiently and safely. This is a 2nd shift position (2:00-10:30 PM, Monday-Friday) and requires adherence to established safety procedures. The Maintenance Mechanic will work under general supervision and report to the department manager.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment issues
  • Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems and production equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Follow industry best practices, SOPs, LOTO procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Document maintenance activities via paper records or CMMS
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations
  • Train equipment operators on preventive maintenance procedures
  • Assist with general maintenance tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in production environments
  • Effective communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Forklift certification required
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
