Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Shift: 2nd shift 
Location: Swedesboro, NJ 
Target pay rate: $110K - $130K 

Requirements: Experience in the food or beverage manufacturing space is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement a preventive maintenance program for all equipment to reduce costs and downtime. Plan and execute major equipment overhaul projects for long-lasting, maintainable results.
  • Develop and implement work order, backlog control, and job assignment systems to gain support from requesters and subordinates.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety, and other company programs and procedures.
  • Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Oversee the training of plant employees in proper and safe equipment operation.
  • Responsible for building demolition and physical changes, maintaining interior building structures for longer asset life at minimum cost.
  • Source and oversee project installation of non-charter new machinery.
  • Hire and oversee outside contractors and service providers as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain good housekeeping, waste management, air quality, and water quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure compliance with local, county, and state health, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, wastewater, water quality, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other government agency codes and regulations.
  • Assist in inspections and audits by relevant authorities and certification organizations.
  • Travel to various locations for training or other duties as required.
  • Manage maintenance activities within budget.
  • Keep the management team informed of maintenance activities.
  • Participate as an active member of the management team.
  • Maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of each product and manufacturing processes.
  • Keep assigned work area clean and report any potential contamination or suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree (A.A.) or better in Electrical Construction and Maintenance, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technologies, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in an automated plant, bakery preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents and governmental regulations. Ability to read and interpret diagrams and blueprints. Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. Working knowledge of Spanish preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of preventative maintenance software. Knowledge of CAD software is helpful.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Flexible with working weekends and nights.
  • Ability to adjust the schedule to meet business demands.
