Job Summary:
  • Lead a team of skilled professionals, guiding them through daily tasks and assignments while maximizing plant productivity. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in maintaining our cutting-edge equipment, ensuring continuous and efficient operations across all production departments.

Job Duties:
  • Provide clear communication and instructions to the maintenance teams, setting daily goals, objectives, and priorities.
  • Oversee the maintenance of plant utility, production, and pollution control equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Act as the point person for troubleshooting processes, collaborating with the plant management team to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Monitor employee schedules and manage call-in schedules as needed.
  • Utilize the Work Order system to assign and update the status of all work orders.
  • Diagnose, document, and repair various equipment, including boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, pumps, filters, tanks, reactors, evaporators, spray dryers, blowers, motors, drives, burners, gear boxes, actuators, and mixers.
  • Maintain and repair pollution control equipment, such as acid scrubbers, IWS pre-scrubber systems, IWS 1 & 2, and Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers.
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls, working during off-shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Perform calibrations on temperature sensors, pressure sensors, flow meters, pH, and probes throughout the plant, recording all results.
  • Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and company safety rules and requirements, with special attention to LOTO procedures.
  • Provide training and daily coaching to the maintenance team.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Stationary Engineer License for the State of Illinois (Chicago).
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the food-related industry (preferred).
  • 2+ years of coaching and leadership experience (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience in food and chemical manufacturing (desired).
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Safety (Industrial and Personal), Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Welding, Boilers, Combustion, Computer, and Basic PLC programming.
