Job Summary:
  • The Maintenance Lead oversees and schedules equipment maintenance, ensuring both preventative and unscheduled maintenance tasks are completed efficiently. This role also manages documentation in maintenance logs and files to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Job Duties:
  • Schedule maintenance workers based on departmental needs, monitoring hours and approving timesheets.
  • Train the team on diagnosing and troubleshooting breakdowns to improve efficiency.
  • Review workload schedules and set departmental priorities.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment used in production and packaging.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and request parts or consult with vendors as needed.
  • Troubleshoot controls such as PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, servos, and robotics.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and files.
  • Perform maintenance on buildings, facilities, and other areas or coordinate with vendors.
  • Ensure routine housekeeping and safety procedures are followed in department areas.
  • Provide suggestions for improvement and support company policies, including safety standards.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or technical certification in a mechanical field required.
  • 8+ years of mechanical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of processing/packaging equipment in the food industry preferred.
  • 1+ years of direct people leadership experience is a plus.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Suite; database management skills are beneficial.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment, plumbing equipment, or measuring equipment is advantageous.
