Job Scope/Job Mission
The Maintenance Engineer is a key contributor to the maintenance department to ensure the reliability of equipment that support the production of plasma derived proteins. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible managing all vendors that provide maintenance and corrective maintenance services all equipment at the site when we need to bring them in. He or She will schedule and coordinate vendors to come on site and communicate effectively with the scheduler and planner for lead times and schedules for vendors to come in. The maintenance Engineer will ensure all tasks required from the vendors are completed in an acceptable manner.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Reviews preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders for facilities for acceptable completion from external vendors ensuring quality and good workmanship. 
  • Coordinate and manage external vendors for maintenance and corrective maintenance services.
  • Manage the daily, weekly alarm reports ensuring all requirements have been completed and report to the maintenance manager any discrepancies.
  • Review with Reliability Engineering team and update Preventive Maintenance Tasks based on effectivenesassessments and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities based on effectiveness assessments of past work orders.
  • Manages assigned projects, including meeting with customers to define project scope, determining conceptual design approach, developing, and monitoring project budgets and schedules, handling communication during construction, monitoring construction quality, negotiating changes, creating a punch-list, and certifying completion for final payment while updating the department manager with all details.
  • Develops and writes technical documentation, revises existing documentation.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers to solve technical problems of moderate complexity.
  • Analyzes and interprets design specifications, drawings, documentation, models and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements. 
  • Conducts audits of work performed to insure it meets current standards and requirements.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety policies and rules.
Qualifications:
  • Associates in a sub-field of engineering, such as electrical or mechanical from an accredited college or university or equivalent experienceBS in Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an equipment engineer in a pharmaceutical environment is preferred
