Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is to carry out all duties and responsibilities regarding the performance of general utility work and maintenance routines while expanding skills within the Maintenance department in support of production activities. The position requires the employee to maintain quality and safety standards, ability to perform reliable work with attention to detail, and demonstrate superior cleanliness and organization.
Job Duties:
- Practice safety standards as identified by the Company Handbook, orientation, and verbal instruction from supervisory staff. This includes safety glasses, proper shoes, lifting techniques, and safe chip handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Have a general knowledge of equipment structure and functionality
- Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints regarding equipment components and assembly
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Capable of disassembling and reassembling machine components and other devices
- Capable of analyzing equipment behavior in reason to identify potential problems
- Proficient with all maintenance tools and equipment necessary to perform the assigned tasks
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as caliper and micrometer
- Ability to carry out Preventive Maintenance routines independently and perform the scheduled maintenance tasks as needed
- Prioritize the workload, assist with troubleshooting, and provide the necessary tools and supplies to perform the assigned tasks
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Working Conditions Hand manipulation Lifting 25 - 50 Ibs
