Location: Elkhart, IN
Shift: 1st (7am-4pm)
Pay: $26-33/hr
Contract-To-Hire role (Could be considered on Direct Hire).

This manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Machinist to join their team! Looking for an individual with previous exposure to CNC machinery, operation, set-up and maintenance ideally. Experience with fabrication is highly sought after, and MIG/TIG welding is a plus! The company is willing to be flexible with schedule (start 30mins sooner or later, etc.) should that be needed.

Technical Skills
1. Machining Knowledge:
· Proficiency in operating machines like lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.
· Understanding of machining processes, including cutting, drilling, and shaping materials.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

2. Fabrication Skills:
· Metal cutting, bending, and forming.
· Knowledge of different materials and their properties.

3. Maintenance Skills:
· Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.
· Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
· Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.

Practical Experience
· Hands-on experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
· Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices.
· Experience with quality control and inspection processes.

Soft Skills
· Attention to Detail: Precision is crucial in fabrication and machining.
· Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
· Communication: Clear communication with team members and understanding instructions.
· Time Management: Efficiently managing time to meet project deadlines.

· Computer Literacy: Familiarity with CAD software and other relevant programs.
· Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
