Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to support our automation build team in Ohio. The ideal candidate will set up and operate manual and CNC machines to manufacture precision components used in automated systems. This role requires strong machining fundamentals, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work within a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and run manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment to produce precision parts to print.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate part production.
- Quality Control: Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and perform in‑process adjustments as needed.
- Tooling & Maintenance: Select, install, and maintain tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools; maintain equipment cleanliness and basic preventive care.
- Documentation: Record production data, material usage, and inspection results; report deviations or quality concerns promptly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, fabrication, and assembly teams to support build schedules and resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols, maintain a clean work area, and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
