Title: Saw Operator/Material Handler
Location: Itasca, IL
Hire Type: Long Term Contract
Shift : 2nd (This role will start on 1st shift and then once training is complete - will move to 2nd shift) 
Compensation: $23-25/hr

1. Set-up and operate various sizes and types of power saws to cut materials (primarily metal) to meet required engineering drawings, shop orders, and instructions and production schedule(s)
2. Receive, move and stage parts to proper locations based on the operations listed on shop orders.

1. Read and interpret engineering detail drawings
2. Receive, store and inventory raw materials according to size and type 
3. Ability to move parts and equipment safely
4. Preparation of material for cutting (measured to drawing required sizes)
5. Use of templates to scribe outlines for contour cutting
6. Adjust equipment to obtain the best cut requirements and economy 
7. Use saw manufacturer’s recommended procedure to properly perform cutting operations. 
8. Ability to move and stage product between throughout the shop as required on the shop orders (router) 
9. Perform prescribed operator and preventive maintenance on machines as required by PM schedule
10. Read, interpret, and apply documents such as: safety manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, diagrams, procedure manual
11. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition 
12. Other duties assigned by Management

1. Proficient at reading, interpreting engineering drawings, cut orders and routers
2. Strong ability to use hand held measuring instruments (tape measure and calipers)
3. Strong knowledge in sawing raw materials
4. Proficient at material handling
5. Accurate saw operation, first time right
6. Proficient in forklift operation
7. Strong ability to rig with use of cranes
