Machine Operator
Job Description
- Operates assigned CNC machines including Johnford, Rockford, and Voortman
- Read / interpret drawings / part specifications and verify / adjust speeds and feeds for optimum machining
- Make necessary offset changes to be within allowable tolerances
- Change inserts
- Verify conformance of part to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as, scales, calipers, micrometers and fixed gauges; Fill out inspection reports as required
- Clean machined parts to ensure ready for assembly
- Report all issues regarding tooling and setup to the supervisor
Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED
- CNC multi-axis training and experience preferred
- Minimum 3 to 12 months CNC multi-axis machine operator experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to read and use tape measure
- Strong attention to detail with ability to inspect using measuring devices
