SUMMARY/ OBJECTIVE
Our client in Bolingbrook, IL stands as a global leader in construction and infrastructure technology that works with government authorities, asset owners, construction companies, and design offices to support their infrastructure projects. They have expanded into over 50 countries worldwide and continue to keep infrastructure safe and secure every single day.
The Machine Operator will be working with the extruder and thread roller machines to meet product specifications. The Machine Operator will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery and maintaining production standards while adhering to safety regulations and company guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot extruder machines to produce high-quality products as per specifications.
Adjust machine settings (temperature, speed, pressure) to optimize product quality and minimize waste.
Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of extruder machinery to ensure smooth operation.
Set up and operate thread roller machines for producing threaded components or parts.
Monitor the rolling process to ensure threads are formed accurately, with attention to detail for diameter, pitch, and length.
Adjust roller settings and machine alignment to achieve desired thread specifications.
Inspect the finished product for defects or inconsistencies.
Perform all aspects of the Monostrand area, primarily near the extruder machine.
Promptly respond and notify the Operations Manager if any safety concerns arise.
Conduct daily maintenance shop housekeeping is in compliant of safety standards.
Follow, lead, demonstrate and adhere to safety and quality principles.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required.
Experience with Forklift.
Flexibility in schedule; ability to work overtime depending upon business needs.
Ability to exhibit basic skills, read, write and speak English.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
A proactive, honest, and self-reliant personality, critical thinking, pragmatic & effective communication skills.

Required to adhere to all physical requirements involving being able to lift and/or move up to seventy pounds and working at heights above eight feet.
