Job Description
Job Summary:
- Manage Manufacturing Engineering projects, developing detailed project plans with estimated task hours and timelines for development, production, validation, and launch, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Supervise research and development of new manufacturing equipment, processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Enhance manufacturing processes by reviewing all engineering deliverables for technical accuracy and adherence to standards and project schedules.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure design for manufacturability of new products, participating in the design review process, and acting as a liaison from inception to customer shipment.
- Contribute to new product launches by reviewing designs, working with design engineering to enhance manufacturability, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve process reliability.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, analyze capital equipment needs for new technologies and business requirements, and plan and implement capital projects.
- Design and implement error-proofing tooling and fixtures to eliminate waste and enhance safety in the manufacturing process.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
- Over 5 years of experience, including expertise in small machine/fixture design or automated machine design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, with preference given to experience with Creo.
