Direct Hire
$22-26/hr based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Reads worders and follows the requirements and assembly instructions for precision single-axis stages and multi-axis systems according to customer specifications and schedule
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and operational instructions. Uses measuring instruments, granite surface tools and test indicators to ensure the product is within customer specifications
- Creates, tests, and labels extension cables in the work cell soldering station, according to the job details and wiring schematics. Shortens and/or adds connectors to motor and encoder cables as needed.
- Completes appropriate forms, prepares data sheets, and test reports
- Operates designated machines and special test equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance of designated test
- equipment and work cell area. Evaluates test performance and construction data with the Engineering team.
- Receives instructions from and reports data to Engineers and other manufacturing personnel.
- Organizes cell area by maintaining efficient use of space and proper housekeeping. Coordinates with Industrial and Mechatronics Engineering teams to select appropriate layout and tools for efficient assembly and testing tasks.
- Understands and prioritizes occupational safety requirements, and ensures tools and equipment are used properly.
- Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read drawings and schematics including wiring diagrams.
- Competency in using the metric system goes down to micron level.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification and maintain good status.
- Ability to use power tools safety i.e. drills, screw guns, heat gun, and soldering iron.
- Flexibility and ability to apply problem-solving skills in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in the context of large customer projects.
