Title: CAD Drafter (Focus on Plant Layout) 
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL 
Hire Type: Contract (3+ months) 
Salary: $30hr
 Must have: AutoCAD experience 
Misc: This role is 100% on-site 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter with strong AutoCAD experience to support updates to our production floor layouts. This role is centered on plant layout and space planning, not product or part design. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on the production floor to take physical measurements, verify existing layouts, and ensure our drawings accurately reflect the real-world setup.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform physical verification of the production floor to identify and document discrepancies in existing layout drawings.
  • Update floor plans in AutoCAD, adding or removing machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Ensure accurate representation of machinery placement and footprints to assist in planning and relocation efforts.
  • Complete on-site measuring using a tape measurer and manual documentation.
  • Work closely with engineering, facilities, and operations teams to ensure drawing accuracy and alignment with current layouts.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD with hands-on experience creating and updating technical layout drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately measure and document physical layouts.
  • Comfortable working on the production floor to gather data and verify equipment placement.
  • Understanding of plant layout, facility planning, or manufacturing environments
