Job Summary:
- Integrate improvement initiatives and maintain an open communication, influence and interact with other departments for implementation
- Take the lead on material transport optimization and packaging improvement projects
- Understand the impact of packaging design in the supply chain and transportation costs
- Responsible for strategic initiatives to improve process in order to achieve maximum efficiency, optimize warehouse footprint, and reduce external warehousing expenditures
- Improve inventory accuracy and reduce working capital expenses
- Responsible for budget management
- Able to successfully manage a tight time-line project
- Analyze, optimize, and implement material manufacturing controls and logistics equipment
Job Duties:
- You will be responsible to identify opportunities of improvements in the supply chain and maintain open communication with all the parties involved
- You will optimize transportation costs by identifying cubic and packaging space waste and work closely with internal logistics, suppliers, 3PL and transport companies in order to correct inefficient process and routes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related work experience
- Minimum experience of 3+ years in Supply Chain improvements and Project Management
- Minimum experience of 3+ years in Material Transportation and Packaging Improvements
- Advanced working knowledge of MS office software and SAP
- Ability and interest to solve complex, interactive problems
- Working knowledge of Computer-aided design tools such as AutoCAD, Creo PTC
- Coursework or experience with LEAN or flexible manufacturing methods preferred
