Job Description

Overview:
Join our team as a Plant Layout Specialist where you'll play a crucial role in optimizing our production floor layout through accurate documentation and space planning. This hands-on position combines practical field work with technical drafting skills to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Update and maintain production floor layout drawings in AutoCAD
  • Conduct on-site measurements of machinery and equipment
  • Verify existing layout configurations and document changes
  • Create detailed work center setup documentation
  • Map and document process flows
  • Measure and record machinery footprints for space planning
  • Prepare markup documentation for layout updates
  • Maintain accurate records of floor plan modifications
  • Collaborate with production team on layout optimization

Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software
  • Experience with industrial or manufacturing facility layout documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Physical ability to conduct frequent floor measurements

Additional Details:
  • Role split approximately 50% field work (measurements/markup) and 50% AutoCAD documentation
  • Focus is on facility layout, not product design
  • Must be comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment
  • Pay: $25-35/hr
