LabView Automation Engineer
Job Description
Location: University Park, IL
Salary: $135k–$145k + 15% Bonus
Hire Type: Direct Hire

- Design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW-based control systems for automated equipment
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define software requirements and system functionality
- Implement version control and documentation for all software projects
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing LabVIEW programs for performance and reliability
- Support remote diagnostics and repair of welding-control systems
- Participate in equipment testing, validation, and commissioning
- Travel (up to 20%) for site visits, system installations, and vendor collaboration
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and system upgrades
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and LabVIEW programming
- Strong understanding of LabVIEW architecture and UI design principles
- Experience with long-lifecycle software development and agile methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with version control systems and documentation best practices
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a passion for automation
