Job Description

SUMMARY:

- Will be responsible for electrical design and debug of all machine controls

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Design and document electrical and control systems based on accepted industrial engineering principles 
- Provide technical support for both internal and external customers 
- Create bill of materials and assist in procurement of components 
- Write and debug code for Robots, Servos, Vision Systems, etc. 
- Work directly with mechanical project teams to debug automated machines 
- Ensure all relevant safety and legal requirements are observed for all work completed 
- Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget 
- Create customer documentation including user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings 
- Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standard 
- Commission customized products and systems onsite and at customer facilities 

SKILLS: 

- Strong verbal and written communication skills 
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills 
- Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge 
- Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software 
- Background in automation engineering preferred 

REQUIREMENTS: 

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR related experience
- 3-5 years related job experience. 
- Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD 
- Strong fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design and its application in automated industrial machinery; including specification of vision, power, sensor, inspection, and communications systems
