Junior CNC Machinist (1st Shift)
Job Description
- Operate CNC machining equipment independently, including performing daily maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret blueprints and use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure precision.
- Work with various materials and tooling, perform machine setups, and operate hand grinders and overhead cranes as needed.
- Select appropriate tooling and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, feed, RPM) to meet production requirements.
- Monitor and inspect machined parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications, making necessary adjustments during the process.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understand basic CNC programming concepts, including G-codes, M-codes, tool offsets, and work offsets.
- Follow all shop rules and safety regulations.
- Be flexible to work overtime when required.
- High School Diploma/GED preferred; Vocational training or relevant work experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of CNC operations and machining principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
