Job Description

Title: Inventory Clerk 
Location: Sauk Village, IL 
Hire Type: CONTRACT-TO-HIRE w. full benefits
Rate: $19-$22/hr 

Job Duties:
  • Creates shipping pick lists and pulls material from stock.
  • Receives material into stock.
  • Performs data entry for inventory transactions.
  • Picks and issues parts from inventory for assembly, machine shop and sales orders.
  • Participates in daily cycle count.
  • Correctly identifies and cuts materials in the production saw area.
  • Serves as back up to:  Saw Operator, Shipping/Receiving/Delivery Pickup Driver

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of material handling procedures.
  • 1-3 years equivalent experience as an Inventory Clerk in a fast paced manufacturing setting.
  • Basic knowledge using various measuring devices including calipers and measuring tape.
  • Basic knowledge of computer and Microsoft applications. (Knowledge of Avante ERP system a plus)
  • Ability to engage in active listening which includes providing full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Skilled in judgment and decision making by considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
