Inventory Control Specialist

Responsibilities:
Understand basic supply chain and purchasing principles.
Provide inventory status reports.
Take full ownership of the inventory control area.
Manage Inventory Cycle counts.
Oversee all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, cycle counting, and maintaining accurate records.
Research and troubleshoot both physical and systematic inventory discrepancies.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct planned and prioritized counts to ensure compliance with company policies.
Collaborate with the buyers' team to organize and maintain accessible inventory.
Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of production inventory.
Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Work closely with other departments to meet inventory needs and ensure availability when required.
Collaborate with purchasing, production, and Quality teams to minimize raw material stock outs.
Run daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports, performing detailed item performance analysis.
Identify 'heavy' and 'low turn' inventory items and maintain communication reports.
Perform inventory adjustments.
Interact with shipping/receiving and quality control teams to ensure proper identification and inspection of received inventory.
Arrange the placement of goods and establish bin locations.
Demonstrate skills in coaching, teamwork, organization, computer usage, supply management, and knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor others.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and preferably with Misys software.
