Instrument Technician
Job Description
- You'll install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of instruments, ensuring everything from flow meters to control valves are functioning optimally.
- Installing new instruments and ensuring their accuracy through calibration.
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections to catch potential issues early.
- Diagnosing and repairing instrument malfunctions, keeping downtime to a minimum.
- Collaborating with your team to ensure safety protocols (like Lockout/Tagout) are followed.
- Utilizing your expertise in electronic and pneumatic systems to maintain top performance.
Qualifications:
- A solid foundation in instrument maintenance, electrical fundamentals, and process control.
- A willingness to work various shifts and overtime, as needed.
- The physical ability to work outdoors, climb, and wear SCBA.
- At least a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and eligibility for a TWIC card (we can help you navigate the process!).
- 5+ years of experience in instrumentation, especially within a refinery setting.
- Experience with specific instruments like Delta V, PLC, Mag Meters, and analyzers.
- Proficiency with various testing and calibration equipment.
