Title:  Instrument Repair Technician
Location:  Salt Lake City, UT
Hire Type: Onsite, Contract
Pay Range:  $20-25/hour (plus 7% shift differential)
Work Schedule:  2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:30pm)

Job Summary: 
Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of clinical and commercial products. Operates electrical and mechanical test equipment. Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Works on assignments where judgment and initiative is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.

Job Duties:
  • Performs all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of Quality System.
  • Follow written work instructions and collect all relevant data.
  • Troubleshoots electromechanical problems
  • Works with Engineering/Production to implement design and/or process improvements
  • Maintains records that comply with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Consults with customer service, instrument production, etc. as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining parts and materials in service area.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma with relevant experience required.  Associates degree preferred.  
  • Ability to use specialized equipment, read instructions, maintain written records, work from established drawings. Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
  • Experience with soldering, multimeter usage a plus.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. May be required to work while wearing personal protective gear.
