Job Summary:
  • As an Industrial Planner, you will ensure optimal scheduling of short-term production and materials for the Bloomington plant, aligning with the production budget in the allotted periods and volumes coordinated with the Commercial Market Unit. Your responsibilities encompass local planning/scheduling and materials planning, ensuring in-stock levels of all necessary packaging related to semi-finished and finished product codes.

Job Duties:
  • Prepare the following week's production schedule, reviewing inventory levels in SAP and assessing potential discrepancies.
  • Review the plan's feasibility based on line capacity, manpower, and shift standards.
  • Enter plans into the information system and receive weekly requests from business units/central planning (APO).
  • Review production requirements week to week to determine any increases/decreases in production.
  • Manage changes to the production schedule and monitor the 'request variance analysis' spreadsheet.
  • Conduct daily/weekly analysis of attainment.
  • Maintain inventory levels in target with department and group KPIs.
  • Validate packaging and inventory adjustments, investigate adjustments, and track and measure stockouts.
  • Review production forecast weekly and prepare purchase requisition for materials required to meet production needs.
  • Schedule packaging with suppliers through weekly call-offs.
  • Ensure ordered materials (packaging) arrive within agreed time periods and quantities.
  • Establish and monitor warehouse inventory levels (packaging).
  • Develop and maintain strong positive rapport with all suppliers.
  • Responsible for capacity planning in relation to molds at vendor sites.
  • Responsible for forecasting of packaging.
  • Ensure scheduled lines and PO’s are open and accurate for receiving.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 4-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Competency using ERP, MRP, and material planning software packages and Production Scheduling software and systems (SAP/APO).
  • Solid understanding of forecasting and inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and focus on service.
