Position: Industrial Electrician/Panel Builder
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Responsibilities:
Construct and wire electrical panels from scratch according to electrical schematics.
Perform field wiring for both panel I/O and field-mounted I/O devices.
Execute pneumatic plumbing tasks and interpret pneumatic schematics.
Mount electrical control components onto machines, crafting necessary mounting brackets.
Fabricate, assemble, and mount NEMA type cable troughs for orderly machine wiring.
Read and understand electrical schematics proficiently.
Participate in occasional travel for equipment installation at customer facilities (up to 10% of the time).
Collaborate with project teams, including Controls Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Assemblers, and Project Managers.
Troubleshoot and debug systems, identifying issues, proposing corrective actions, and performing repairs.
Ensure proper functionality of equipment post-troubleshooting.
Conduct preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation systems and components.
Provide regular project updates to management.
Adhere to company safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out protocols.
Work within a fully air-conditioned facility.

Salary and Work Schedule:
Competitive salary ranging between $22/hr. and $35/hr., commensurate with experience.
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with hours from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Overtime opportunities available.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in wiring automated equipment.

Skill in using hand tools and computers for wire label printing.
Must supply own basic set of hand tools.
Familiarity with machine shop equipment.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in electrical control systems.
Proficiency in metric systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and self-motivated approach.
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
