Industrial Counter Sales
Job Description
Pay: $45,000 – $50,000/year
Hire Type: Direct Hire
- Assist walk-in and telephone customers with product selection and order fulfillment
- Identify hydraulic and pneumatic hose and fitting needs and recommend solutions
- Fabricate hose assemblies using crimping equipment
- Pull, assemble, tag, and ship customer orders
- Receive shipments, unload trucks, and check in merchandise
- Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts
- Prepare and package orders for shipment and verify packing lists
- Work closely with inside sales, outside sales, and operations teams
- Maintain store merchandising, displays, and organization
- Record inventory transactions in the inventory control system
- Assist with repair of pumps, cylinders, bolting tools, and related equipment (training provided)
- Promote products and services to customers and support sales initiatives
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to read purchase orders, shipping manifests, and packing lists
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and inventory systems)
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Industrial supply, manufacturing, or distribution environment
- Warehouse, shipping/receiving, or counter sales experience
- Familiarity with hydraulic or pneumatic hose and fittings
- Experience using hose crimping equipment
- Experience with inventory systems or multi-carrier shipping software
