Job Description
Position: IT Tester
Location: Oak Brook, IL 60523 - This is a hybrid role that is onsite work 3-4 days per week.
Are you passionate about IoT and digital manufacturing? Do you have experience with IT Testing and are looking for an exciting innovative IoT product team.
I am looking for a skilled IT Tester with 3+ years of experience to join an IoT product testing team and work within a test harness for an IoT product.
As an IT Tester, you will be responsible for testing an IoT application using TestNG and plugins for Selenium and Appium. The product involves logging into the system, sending data to the embedded product/cloud, and conducting end-to-end testing. The ideal candidate will have experience with Selenium, Appium, tool chain testing, Java, Junit, and use of Maven and Jenkins.
This is a behavior-driven development tool, and the successful candidate will have experience working in an Agile environment. Additionally, experience with tool chains such as C#, NUnit, test runners, Selenium, and Appium with add-ons is desirable.
You will be responsible for using Jira for defect testing or Test Rail for test case management and must have strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Test an IoT application using TestNG and plugins for Selenium and Appium
- Conduct end-to-end testing of the product.
- Diagnose hardware and software test failures during product testing.
- Utilize Jira for defect testing or Test Rail for test case management.
- Work collaboratively with a team in an Agile environment
- Use tool chains such as C#, NUnit, test runners, Selenium, and Appium with add-ons.
- Work with Maven and Jenkins to build and deploy code.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in IT testing with strong knowledge of Selenium, Appium, tool chain testing, Java, Junit, and use of Maven and Jenkins
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with Jira and/or Test Rail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in an Agile environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills
