The IT Support Specialist will provide Tier-1 technical support for users including account setup, access troubleshooting, computer support, and documentation. This role supports a wide range of IT service needs and works closely with internal teams to ensure efficient onboarding, communication, and issue resolution.
Job Duties:
- Assist users with account signup, renewal, and reactivation processes.
- Provide technical support for macOS and Windows operating systems.
- Maintain macOS computer enrollments in Apple Business Manager and JAMF Pro.
- Manage user access to projects, groups, mailing lists, and Slack.
- Troubleshoot multi-factor authentication setup issues.
- Improve existing helpdesk service processes where applicable.
- Serve as Tier-1 point of contact, triaging tickets and routing to appropriate SMEs.
- Create documentation such as getting-started guides for accounts, access, and IT services.
- Onboard new users to systems and resources.
- Support user communication activities as needed.
- Update and track customer-reported issues from submission to resolution.
- Fulfill IT service catalog requests from customers.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in a technical support role providing Tier-1 or Tier-2 support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse users.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong testing and troubleshooting abilities to identify process bottlenecks.
- Self-starter with strong teamwork skills.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Some experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
- Some shell scripting or coding experience.
