IT Support Technician
Job Description
Location: Dallas, TX
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
- Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on desktop and laptop computers and related systems.
- Support computer peripherals and office printers, including managing printer-related supplies (excluding paper).
- Install, configure, and update software, patches, and operating system images on desktops, laptops, and personal devices.
- Assist users in identifying appropriate software solutions to meet business and operational needs.
- Provide first-line technical support for end-user hardware, software, printers, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and end-user network-related problems.
- Assist Network Administrators or Analysts with troubleshooting escalated network-related issues affecting end users.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Experience with PC imaging, software installation, and patch management.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately track and manage IT assets.
Experience working with vendors for hardware repair or replacement is a plus.
