Title: HR Generalist 
Location: West Columbia, SC
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Shift/Hours: 2nd Shift 3pm - 11pm Mon-Friday 

Job Summary: 
We’re looking for a dependable and proactive HR Shift Lead to join our team at a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing facility. This is a key role supporting 2nd shift operations, serving as the primary HR representative onsite during the shift. If you're detail-oriented, people-focused, and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same, we want to hear from you.


Job Duties:
  • Serve as the main HR point of contact for 2nd shift employees and supervisors.
  • Document and track employee absences, tardiness, and other attendance-related matters.
  • Maintain and update daily and weekly HR tracking sheets.
  • Address and escalate employee relations issues, policy violations, or workplace concerns as needed.
  • Partner with shift supervisors to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support new hire onboarding, orientation, and shift-specific training coordination.
  • Assist with shift communications, policy updates, and bulletin board postings.
  • Monitor and report on trends in attendance, behavior, and morale.
  • Provide basic guidance to employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on shift-specific initiatives or investigations.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR, supervisory, or team lead role within a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with attendance tracking systems, Excel spreadsheets, and basic HR documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
