Job Description
Location: Northlake, Il
Compensation: $45-50K/year
Hire Type: Direct Hire
The Human Resources Administrator will support the HR department with daily administrative tasks, including onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and excellent customer service skills.
- Onboard new hires and ensure completion of necessary paperwork.
- Assist the HR Generalist with hiring hourly employees.
- Coordinate temporary staffing and manage related vendor interactions.
- Inform employees about benefits, HR programs, and policies.
- Process payroll changes, including new hires, transfers, terminations, and promotions.
- Maintain leave of absence processes.
- Foster positive employee relations and resolve issues.
- Counsel managers and employees on company policies and workplace issues.
- Update and maintain employee files for payroll and other uses.
- Handle administrative duties for benefits and payroll changes.
- Ensure accurate timesheet completion and assist with payroll submission.
- Maintain weekly HR reports and regulatory postings.
- Coordinate employee activities with the HR team and office staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 1-3 years of HR/Payroll experience preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with good judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
