Global Logistics Manager
Job Description
- Lead Global Logistics: Manage all aspects of import/export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and resolving shipping or customs issues swiftly.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal departments and external partners to coordinate accurate and timely deliveries.
- Own Documentation: Oversee all import/export paperwork including customs declarations, bills of lading, and shipping records.
- Negotiate Smartly: Secure competitive freight rates and contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
- Track Performance: Monitor shipment status and delivery metrics, reporting regularly to leadership.
- Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and key stakeholders.
- Manage Budgets: Optimize costs and manage budgets to ensure efficient and profitable operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience/certifications such as CLTD or CSCP).
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in import/export operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, tariffs, and trade agreements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, especially in vendor and partner management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (TMS, WMS, etc.).
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 5%).
