Job Summary:
Financial Analyst to analyze and evaluate financial data, study business and economic trends and provide insight on our business condition to help management make business decisions.
The Financial Analyst will serve as backup for end of month close and preparation of Financial Statements and assist the Controller in projects as deemed necessary.
Prepare historical sales trending reports and forecast future three month’s results
Variance analysis and explanations of results versus forecast
Three month rolling forecast for entire I/S and B/S results
Prepare historical sales trending reports and compare versus rolling forecast
Key performance indicators trends to explain results
Return on investment analysis
Prepare the monthly bookings comparison report
Prepare monthly labor reports
Prepare and analyze the Old Open Order Report
Prepare the quarterly cost of sand analysis
Analyze cost of sales by product categories with emphasis on unfavorable variances
Analyze costing exceptions by item
Review large new orders to maintain healthy margins
Review freight invoices working with carriers on discrepancies
Back-up month end close including the preparation of journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparing financial statements and departmental
Qualifications:
Intermediate excel and power point skills
Strong analytical and KPI skills
Manufacturing and inventory experience
Analytical mind for trends and ability to communicate it clearly both verbally and visually
Desire to learn the computer systems and increase efficiencies
