Job Title: Field Service Technician - Electro-Pneumatic Equipment
Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire - $75k base pay plus overtime.
Location: Based out of [City], with extensive travel up to 75% of the time. Some international travel may be required.
Overview: Our company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of electro-pneumatic equipment at customer’s locations. Additionally, the Field Service Technician may be utilized and assigned to any of our production facilities to provide technical assistance as required.
Responsibilities: • Install and train customers on filling equipment at their site • Service filling equipment at customer’s locations • Troubleshoot new and legacy equipment via phone and by remote access • Submit all paperwork in a timely and professional manner • Work in a collaborative team environment • Travel extensively up to 75% of the time, including some international travel
Skills: • Strong time management and critical thinking skills • Technical knowledge in Allen Bradley industrial controls • Ability to work as a collaborative team member with engineering team • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, and the ability to wire to a desired schematic • Strong PLC skills utilizing ladder logic (Allen Bradley), familiar with RSLogix 500/5000, must have programming experience • Excellent communication and relationship management skills to work collaboratively with customers • Self-starter who can work without supervision
Qualifications: • Minimum 2-year college degree in electrical/mechanical principles, or a suitable combination of education and work experience • Valid driver’s license and US Passport • 5 years of equipment field service experience (must have held the title of Field Service Technician or similar to be considered) • Knowledge of food processing or packaging is desired
Direct Reports: The Field Service Technician has no direct reports but will be responsible for working in a team environment.
