Field Service Technician
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive service to customers
- Provide technical resource support to customers by answering questions about intended designs.
- Provide new and continued training to our customers on company supplied equipment.
- Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and testing tasks.
- Follow company and customer’s procedures and protocols.
- Support internal company operations
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests as required.
- Checkout and test finished machinery prior to shipment.
- Assist with assembly when needed.
- Assist with technical phone support.
- Connect new customer opportunities with company sales department
- Build sustainable relationships with customers
- General responsibilities
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Document processes.
- Ability to drive company vehicles and vehicles rented by the company.
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
Types reports, results and details of customer interaction.
- Strong Electro/Mechanical troubleshooting skills
- High school degree or GED and a minimum of three to five years of field service technician/customer service experience
- Professional Licensing and/or Certifications Required: Valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of the mechanical and electrical systems of packaging equipment. (Specifically, filling equipment is highly desirable)
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- Ability to work flexible schedule and travel as required.
