Field Service Technician
Job Description
Type: Contract to Hire or Direct Hire
Location: Rolling Meadows, IL (Home base when not in the field)
Pay Range: $32-$38 per hour (Depending on experience)
Overtime: 10-15 hours available
Responsibilities:
As a Field Service Technician, you'll ensure the optimal operation of mechanical and electrical equipment at customer facilities.
Troubleshoot and adjust equipment onsite; resolve service issues over the phone.
Collaborate with suppliers to address technical problems at customer sites.
Travel to domestic and international locations as needed.
Provide timely service reports and facilitate warranty claims.
Follow customer safety regulations; conduct follow-up calls for issue resolution.
Stay current with products and equipment.
Be on call, assist other department staff, and take on assignments as needed.
Ensure ethical business conduct, adhere to safety rules, and maintain ISO standards.
High School diploma or GED; TMA or Tool and Die training.
3-6 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical/electrical environment.
Proficient in reading drawings, reference manuals, and using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to travel domestically and internationally within 30 days of hire.
