Salary: $65k-$75k/yr.

Sterling Engineering is partnering with a global leader in renewable energy technology, to hire a Field Service Engineer in Milwaukee, WI. This role supports the company's Energy Division, providing technical services and customer support for solar and storage inverter products across North America.
- Travel to customer sites to perform commissioning activities.
- Manage project schedules and coordinate with site/project managers.
- Provide technical direction to Ingeteam and subcontractor personnel.
- Troubleshoot solar and storage inverters with minimal support.
- Train customers on product functionality.
- Respond to customer issues via phone, email, or site visits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems remotely or in person.
- Provide technical feedback to engineering for product improvement.
- Repair returned materials.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in electronics or power electronics.
- Experience with PV & storage systems preferred.
- Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics.
- Familiarity with UL1741, IEEE1547, and NEC codes preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting and technical communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (Spain HQ).
