Sterling Engineering is looking for multiple Field Service Engineers to join a rapidly expanding power distribution company serving major data center clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with customers, perform critical on-site support, and represent a respected name in the power distribution space. Job Duties:
- Provide on-site support for troubleshooting and repairing Anord Mardix power distribution systems installed in data warehouses.
- Act as the primary point of contact with customers during field service calls—displaying strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Travel 100% regionally using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed); expected workload of 40–50 hours/week with occasional nights, weekends, and holidays (always on-call).
- Perform system diagnostics, AC/DC power troubleshooting, and break/fix services on electrical panels and power systems.
- Coordinate with internal engineering and customer service teams to resolve issues in the field efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service logs, customer communication records, and travel documentation using company-provided systems and tools.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems, ideally high-voltage or AC/DC power distribution.
- Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting fundamentals—experience in data centers or mission-critical environments is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing role with excellent communication skills.
- Must use personal vehicle for travel; $6K annual car allowance included in hourly rate.
- Prior military experience is highly preferred.
- Must be flexible and dependable, willing to work OT and handle emergency call-ins.
