Position Overview: The Electrician will be responsible for assembling and wiring control cabinet panels, wiring entire machines/systems, and providing electrical support during debugging operations. This role requires extensive travel.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret schematics, bills of materials (BOM), drawings, and manufacturer guidelines to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Apply knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations to ensure safe and efficient production of machines/systems.
  • Make decisions on parts, wiring, and minor changes; collaborate with engineering to suggest major changes to layout/schematics.
  • Record modifications on engineering documentation.
  • Layout and assemble electrical components for control cabinet panels.
  • Wire all electrical components on machinery.
  • Provide guidance to assistants.
  • Perform preliminary input/output (I/O) debugging.
  • Collaborate with Lead Electricians to achieve goals.
  • Install and service machines at customer sites as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five (3) years of experience wiring machinery or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in interpreting schematics.
  • Strong communication and math skills.
  • General knowledge of hand tools, including crimpers and soldering equipment.
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and electronic test equipment (voltage regulators, amp meters, etc.).
  • General knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office suite.
